From Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th December, we are planning to host a Christmas Tree Festival in St Mark’s. What is planned is a vast array of Christmas Trees, each decorated with creativity to help tell the Christmas story. As those attending journey around the trees, guided by their programme, we hope that they will be very much blessed as we reflect on the wonder of promises fulfilled in the Incarnation and how God becoming one of us in Jesus is of immense Joy to the World.
The Festival shall open on Thursday 5th (12noon) with a short ceremony featuring Mr Gary Dickson (co-presenter of Downtown Radio Breakfast Show), a representative from the Cancer Fund for Children and The Armstrong Primary School choir. Services on the Sunday shall be at the usual times and will include The Archbishop preaching at our 10.30am service and an Advent Carol Service at 7pm.
